District nurseries: “Rives Ouest”

The project aimed to increase the capacity of early childhood in the district by creating 2 crèches, a French-speaking and a Dutch-speaking. The result had a real impact:

Creation of 84 new places , in a district identified as disadvantaged being part of the neighborhood contract “Rives West”. These two nurseries have a policy of social care and ensure the reception of children whose parents looking for work or training.

For the French nursery (48 places), called “Les Couleurs d’Olina”, it is the construction of a collective r infrastructure of 750m2 and the development of an outdoor area of ​​220 m2. The nursery project is part of a larger project comprising 8 housing units.

For the Dutch-speaking nursery (36 places), called “het Molentje”, it is the renovation of a building of 500 m2 with an outdoor area of ​​175 m2. The nursery project is part of a larger project comprising 7 housing units.

In terms of job creation, the municipality estimates the creation of 39 full-time equivalents for the two crèches.
