Programming projects FEDER 2014 – 2020

Financial instrument LOT 3: Microcredit tool

Background: As part of the ERDF 2014-2020 programming, the Brussels-Capital Region (RBC) has committed, through its Operational Program (OP), to devote part of the program resources to the implementation of financial instruments.

In order to be able to implement such instruments with the intervention of the ERDF, the European regulation requires the drafting of an ex-ante evaluation to establish the interest and the conditions for setting up these devices. This ex-ante evaluation was made and a public contract of 3 lots was launched to select the financial intermediaries for each lot. The award of the contract was made by the GRBC on 30/11/2017 and the decisions notified on 8/01/2018.
Budget RBC + EU = 13.662.214 € (Lots 1+2+3)

General principle
Unlike grants, these operations concentrate resources that are intended to be reinvested.
They fit into the logic of the Program but are more directly integrated into the Brussels economic (financial …) landscape. To this end, they have been objectified (needs, efficiency …).

LOT 3: Microcredit tool: OPEN UP (Brusoc sa)

This project aims at the implementation and management of a financial instrument for granting professional microloans to an audience that is excluded from the traditional banking system. This system is intended in particular to support the creation and development of companies in the Brussels area and to improve the employability of vulnerable sections of the population
