MOVE IT KANAL

The ‘Move it Kanal’ project is designed to strengthen social and territorial cohesion so that young people in a situation of poverty and social exclusion are provided with the means to live with dignity and participate actively in society.

The project aims to achieve this objective by specifically targeting equal opportunities, developing talents and providing the best possibilities for personal fulfilment among young people, by coordinating supply and demand more effectively in the area of culture.

As such, Move it Kanal aims to stimulate the cultural participation of young people (10-20) from Brussels’ Canal area, by strengthening collaboration between organisations from different sectors and communities. The project will accomplish this objective by developing and supporting collaborations, partnerships, pilot projects and exchanges of experience, through the construction of a long-lasting and trans-sectoral network. 

Move It Kanal ended in 2021, the project was documented in a publication.
