Boeren Bruxsel Paysans
BoerenBruxselPaysans is based on a vision that involves the transition of our food systems (production, processing, distribution and consumption) to ensure respect for the living and the possibilities of future generations. This vision is focused, as part of the project, on improving the resilience of the Brussels Capital Region.
BoerenBruxselPaysans’ mission is to facilitate and increase the production and local food processing (Brussels Capital Region and its food territory) according to ecological production methods, aimed at Brussels eaters. It aims to promote their access to quality food through short circuits, to raise awareness of sustainable food in all its aspects and to involve them in local food dynamics.
The aim is to create a pilot project, reproducible, integrating the entire sustainable food chain, from production to consumption. This pilot project is set up at the edge of the peri-urban area, mainly in Anderlecht (Neerpede and Vogelzang). The objective will be achieved through methodological and technical support to project leaders, training, the provision of infrastructure and land, the development of short processing and sales circuits, awareness-raising and networking actions. …
BoerenBruxselPaysans voluntarily limits its range of activity to growing in the ground (and not above ground).
