Manufakture – Abattoir SA

The project, called Manufakture, aims to improve the sustainable economic development of SMEs. Moreover, the project aims to emphasize the preservation of artisan work and productive activities in the city, as well as strengthening the short chain of food and emphasizing the circular economy.

To achieve this goal Abattoir will build a new infrastructure on its site in Anderlecht.
This infrastructure will initially be used to house SMEs that are active in the food sector and related sectors. In addition, it will also serve for administrative purposes, education and / or housing.

The roof is equipped as a productive roof and / or garden. SMEs will be able to work more efficiently and sustainably through the use of this infrastructure. This concerns a mixed urban project in which productive activities are integrated in combination with other urban activities, which will lead to an improvement of the business and consumer climate at local level.

The project benefits from a depollution subsidy to cover studies, soil analyzes and remediation work.
