On 26 and 27 September 2026, the Hippodrome de Boisfort will open its doors for the first edition of the HippoDrohme Gardens, a free weekend dedicated to nature, biodiversity and everyday ecology.
At the heart of this site, redeveloped with the support of the ERDF, this public event will bring together plant growers, Belgian artisans, gardening enthusiasts and nature lovers in a friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
Inspired by Europe’s finest plant festivals, the HippoDrohme Gardens offer a distinctly Brussels experience where discovery, exchange and environmental awareness meet at the gateway to the Sonian Forest.
Thanks to the ERDF, the Hippodrome de Boisfort has become a meeting place between the city and nature. This exemplary project combines environmental preservation, education and public access to the forest to help build the Brussels of tomorrow. It is the result of a successful public-private partnership between Brussels Environment, the Urban Development Corporation (SAU/MSI) and DROH!ME.
