#EUinmyregion: Zinneke! A free guided tour by Korei

In the Masui district, hidden between infrastructure and residential streets, the MaZui building tells the story of a place that is constantly reinventing itself. Once home to the Belgian Revenue Stamp Printing Works, it has been transformed into a dynamic workspace and meeting place where creativity, craftsmanship and reuse come together.

Since 2021, MaZui has been the home of Zinneke, an organisation that builds bridges between artists, residents and associations across Brussels. It is not only the birthplace of the Zinneke Parade, but also a place where collaboration, experimentation and local engagement take shape every day. Workshops, a forge and a large recycling centre demonstrate how production, culture and ecology can go hand in hand.

Thanks to ERDF funding (European Regional Development Fund), the non-profit organisation Zinneke has secured a permanent venue for creative and socio-cultural activities through the Masui4Ever project. This sustainable renovation, based on the reuse of materials, contributes to the revitalisation of a Brussels neighbourhood and provides a tangible example of Europe’s impact on the ground.
